The Secret Appeal Of Politics-Paul Rosenberg

[ Onebornfree/Freedom Network commentary: One of the most important aspects affecting the possible achievement of more freedom for the individual is: the overcoming of the propaganda/brainwashing that they have continually been subjected to on a daily basis, since they were born, that has persuaded them that governments are both necessary and socially beneficial organizations that have everyone's best interests at  heart. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. This article by Paul Rosenberg goes a long way towards exposing the myths of politics, and political organizations everywhere- enjoy, obf. ]

"The Internet is full of stories about politicians acting badly and doing the opposite of what they promised. Talk radio is full of the same things, all day, every day. Even around office water coolers, almost everyone will admit that politicians are liars and thieves.

Given all of this, it's rather bizarre that people still believe and obey the bums. If we knew such things about a neighbor, would we continue to take them seriously?

Yet, for some reason, politicians get a permanent pass on anything stupid they do.

The first reason for this is simply that most people have been bamboozled. They were taught that government is necessary and that without it, we'd all be ignorant savages, eating whatever few berries and roots we could scrounge... that without government nothing would be built, nothing invented, and nothing taught.

That's all propaganda, of course, paid for by the people it praises. But, it's what we were all taught and it's hard for people to let it go, no matter how stupid it is.

The second reason is that people are afraid. We all know why.

None of that, however, is what I want to cover today. Instead, I want to look at the subtle reasons why people can't let go of "politics." These reasons are very powerful, but they lie beneath the surface and are harder to identify than self-serving, government-funded BS.

Reason #1: I Can Blame Anyone but Me

Somehow, people all across the West have become pathologically afraid of blame. It probably began as a corrosive fear of hell: If I'm to blame for anything, I'll go to hell, and that must be avoided.

But be that as it may, this fear of blame allows political parties to provide a highly desirable service: They help you assign all blame to others. If you like the Red party, you can always affix blame to the Blues and not to yourself. If you're in the Blue party, you can lay all blame onto the Reds.

It's actually an elegant scam. The Blue v. Red show lets everyone avoid taking any blame onto themselves, while the big machine keeps right on running.

This fear of blame is ridiculous, of course: We've all made mistakes. What matters is correcting them and not repeating them. But if we pretend we never make mistakes, nothing gets fixed and the problems continue.

This neurotic avoidance of blame puts politicians in wonderful position - they don't actually have to solve anything, and any blame is deflected to their evil opposition.

Reason #2: It Makes Me Feel Brave at No Expense

Politics lets us pretend that we're fixing problems at no expense, save talking. Actually doing something is not required. Politics empowers our mere words to generate powerful results.

At least that's what people want to believe. It's the easy way out. You never have to get up and act. You never have to take a real risk. No blood, no sweat, no tears.

This is just another scam, of course: The politicians continue do what they want, and the people keep right on believing, even though their words seldom generate any real results.

All they need to do is keep you in the game. So long as you keep hoping that your words will affect the future, they can do whatever they please.

The alternative would be taking responsibility onto yourself and acting on your own. Gain would require pain... precisely the thing that people want to avoid.

So, instead, they keep believing that politics will magically turn complaints into results, and they remain tied into the system, no matter how badly it fails them.

Reason #3: It Makes Me Feel Noble at No Expense

Politics lets you pour charity onto the targets of your choice, without any personal expense. The magical money pot in the capital city dispenses it, and you feel no pain.

It doesn't matter what your target of choice is, by the way. For some, it's "the less fortunate," to others, it's people on another continent. It really doesn't matter, aside from the fact that it makes you feel good to help people and that you never have to put your hand into your own pocket.

Again, this is clearly a scam: The money comes from ourselves (in ways we don't think about), from others (those super-rich people), or, primarily these days, from generations yet unborn in the form of state debt.

But, those are things that can be ignored, and politicians are always quick to help us ignore them."

It's Insanity to Believe You Can Change The World

[Onebornfree/ Freedom Network commentary: this short video pretty much sums up the main message I have been trying to get across to people , either at Network meetings, or in private consultations. The most important fact you can learn, from me, or from this video, is, to quote the movies narrator: " You cannot change the world, to make yourself happy, or free."..."As long as humanity believes that they can change the world to make themselves happy and free, we will continue to fall into this trap generation after generation. It is insanity to think that you can change the world to make yourself happy or free". How and Why You Are Being Brainwashed by the State

[onebornfree /Freedom Network commentary:another great article from Jon Rappoport. The only point I would like to add to Mr Rapport's "how and why" is the point that it is impossible for any government to act in any other way than the way he illustrates here. If you have a government in the first place, sooner or later these types of machinations must occur, and the bigger the state becomes, the more frequently these deliberate machinations must be implemented. The question for you is: in  light of that inevitability, what can you do to protect yourself? This is where my Personal Freedom Consulting Service may be able to help an individual. Regards, onebornfree.]

Right now, of course, it’s the war on Syria. Last month, it was something else. And next month, it’ll be something else.

We’re looking at one op after another, one crime after another, one cover-up after another, one threat, one psyop after another. It never ends.

To a significant degree, all these operations are just that, planned moves. And they do concern all of us, because the scope of the operations is vast.

However, on another level, these ops are designed for the purpose of engaging all of us so that we’ll keep thinking in terms of the group (“all of us”)…and never think about anything else.

If you can tune up the population to keep thinking about the group, the collective, you’ve got them.

Hence, the title of this piece: “What concerns all of us at this time.”

But what about: what concerns NONE of us at this time.
What about that?

What about what doesn’t even exist at this time?

What about what has yet to be imagined and created?
Who handles that?

What department do you contact to find out about THAT?

Well, you can consult DARPA or any number of think-tanks or the CIA, but again, these blueprints of the future involve all of us.

I’m talking about something else:

That discredited and stepped-on and discounted faculty of the individual called imagination which, by the way, is not a container holding shielded secrets, but is instead a capability of invention.

Everything mind control ever was, is, or will be, is ultimately aimed at producing amnesia about that capability. Therefore, when you bring up the subject of imagination, most people just shake their heads and move on. They are clueless about their own astonishing power.
Being ignorant, they are easy marks. They can be cajoled into spending their whole lives thinking about “what concerns us most at this time.”

When I put together my two mega-collections, The Matrix Revealed and Exit From the Matrix, I was cognizant of this. But I also knew there were people out there who were looking for something else, something beyond group concerns that could trap them forever— concerns that build a wall between them and their own creative power.

Creative power—this “little selfish preoccupation,” as it’s been called—is the difference between night and day, civilization and chaos, desire fulfilled and victimhood, life-force and walking death, deception and insight, fierce joy and a sinkhole in which the same emotions go around and around and around.

The reason behind the reason I write about fraud and crime and conspiracy in public life is: I want to expose how reality is being built for us. How perverse designers are constructing a collective mural of existence.

Understanding that, one can begin to see how he can create other realities—without end.
It’s as if we’re living in a huge room with no ceiling and yet we’re behaving as if there is a ceiling 10 feet high. The “10- feet high” is the result of amnesia about our own imaginations.
The purpose of the collective is destruction of imagination.

But imagination can never be destroyed. All individuals can do is force themselves to stay asleep about it.

Or decide to wake up.

50 Ways To Starve the Beast

[ Direct Actions Will Make You Freer! : I started The Freedom Network mainly for 2 reasons [1]: to meet new people who believed in personal freedom, and [2] : to help people to gain control of their own lives by showing them how to  take direct actions which do not involve having to change even one other persons point of view about _anything_, and to try to show them the error of relying on indirect actions, such as "waking people up", "changing the world for the better" or similar. Both of those phrases represent a point of view and a reliance on changing others points of view[ a very risky proposition], and the proselytizer/changer cannot ever achieve happiness until he/she has achieved their objective of changing the world and the people in it and/or "waking them all up" to whatever it is he/she feels they all need to be be "woken up" to .   The reality is that we all have enormous control over our own lives and choices {via direct actions} - on the other hand we have virtually no control over the choices/ thought processes/ beliefs of others { and only via indirect action}.  In this article, Daisy Luther of "The Organic Prepper" lists more than 50 direct actions that you can take to help "starve the beast" .  Regards, oneborfree and  The Freedom Network  .]

A term coined in 1985 by an unnamed staffer of the Reagan administration was “Starve the Beast”. This referred to a fiscally conservative political strategy to cut government spending by paying less in taxes. So, in the original sense, “the Beast” was the government, and people were to starve the beast by spending less and using loopholes, therefore paying less in taxes.

These days the Beast has a lot more tentacles than just the government. The system now consists of the government and all aspects of Big Business. Big Agri, Big Pharma, Big Medicine, Big Food, Big Banking and Big Oil, to name a few. It seems that now it’s the Beast doing the starving, as small businesses close because they can’t compete with Wal-Mart, the family farm is on it’s way out because it can’t compete with the huge, subsidized Monsanto mega-farms, people are going bankrupt because they can’t pay the outrageous medical bills…

Perhaps it’s time for another financial revolution – one where people group together and use the power of the boycott to starve all the arms of this Beast that would swallow us whole. If we vote with our dollars, eventually there will, of a necessity, be a paradigm shift that returns us to simpler days, when families that were willing to work hard could make a living without selling their souls to the corporate monoliths.

Everything that you buy secondhand or barter for is an item on which you won’t pay sales tax. Disassociate yourself completely with “the system” that is making Western civilization broke, overweight and unhealthy. Starve the Beast by taking as many of these steps as possible…

1. Grow your own food (this starves Big Agri and Big Pharma both)

2. Shop at local businesses with no corporate ties

3. Use natural remedies instead of pharmaceuticals whenever possible

4. Homeschool your children

5. Walk or bike instead of driving when possible

6. Get care from naturopaths and healers instead of doctors

7. Make paper logs from scraps for free heat if you have a wood-burning fireplace or stove

8. Boycott all processed foods

9. Shop at local farmer’s markets

10. Cut up your credit cards, except one for emergencies only. Use cash

11. Give vouchers as gifts for an evening of babysitting, a homemade meal, walking the dog, doing a repair, or cleaning

12. Join a CSA or farm co-op

13. Ditch television (and all the propaganda and commercials)

14. Participate in the barter system – if no money changes hands, no tax can be added

15. Buy secondhand from yard sales, Craigslist and thrift stores

16. Sell your unwanted goods by having a yard sale or putting an ad on Craigslist

17. Repair things instead of replacing them

18. Avoid fast food restaurants and chain restaurants

19. Dine at locally owned establishments if you eat out

20. Brew your own beer and wine

21. Read a book, purchased second-hand or borrowed

22. Dine at locally owned establishments if you eat out

23. Brew your own beer and wine

24. Read a book, purchased second-hand or borrowed

25. Grow or gather medicinal herbs

26. Give homemade gifts

27. Attend free local activities: lectures, concerts, play days at the park, library events

28. Dumpster dive

29. Play outside: hike, bike, picnic

30. Mend clothing

31. Invite someone over for dinner instead of meeting at a

restaurant

32. Throw creative birthday parties at home for your kids instead of renting a venue

33. Camp instead of staying at a hotel

34. Bring your coffee with you in a travel mug

35. Do all of your Christmas shopping with small local businesses and artisans

36. Reduce your electricity usage with candles, solar power and non-tech entertainment

37. Drop the thermostat and put on a sweater

38. Bring your snacks and drinks in a cooler when you go on a road trip

39. Stay home – it’s way easier to avoid temptation that way

40. Pack lunches for work and school

41. Use precious metals stored at home as your savings account

42. Close your bank account or at the very least, strictly limit your balance

43. Visit u-pick berry patches and orchards, then preserve your harvest for the winter

44. Use precious metals stored at home as your savings account

45. Raise backyard chickens for your own eggs

46. If you are a smoker, roll your own cigarettes – if possible go one step further and grow tobacco

47. Live in a smaller, more efficient home

48. Use solar power for lighting or cooking

49. Collect rainwater for use in the garden

50. Learn to forage

51. Buy heavy, solid, handmade furniture instead of the flimsy imported stuff

52. At the holidays, focus on activities and traditions instead of gifts. Go for a walk or drive through the neighborhood to look at lights, get into your PJs and watch a special movie together on Christmas Eve and make certain treats that can always be expected

53. Make your own bath and body products using pure ingredients like coconut oil, essential oils, and herbal extracts
