"The Dark Knight Rises":Subliminal Programming?

Onebornfree commentary:  This video monologue by Alex Jones of "Prison Planet" , postulates the use of subliminal programming of the viewer via the major "players" in Hollywood who are in cahoots with the federal government via the Defense Department etc. [Something you are presumably already aware of]

He makes a number of  very interesting propositions, chief of which is that the government is attempting to brainwash you into accepting more and more of its "one world" agenda via movies such as the "Dark Knight"  trilogy. To an extent, I agree.

However,Mr Jones misses a couple of obvious points:
1] Most people are already pre-conditioned to the mentality Mr Jones says we are all being led towards. This is not brainwashing as such but just more "positive" reinforcement of the dominant themes he lists that are already in place in the minds of most of the population, put there by the  childhood conditioning of government-funded and run education, and then expanded on and further reinforced via the press and TV, whose employees, by and large, are  formerly state "educated" and already think that way.

2] As a market/ business proposition  [i.e. in order to make  money], it makes perfect sense for a movie maker to target as large an audience demographic as possible. As most people are unalterably statist in mentality, it makes perfect sense, business-wise, to target that mentality specifically and play/pander to its fantasy world of "the government knows best- and  therefor to solve crime "problems" we need Batman style characters who can tap into our cell phones, computers etc. etc. and make the world safe for everyone" .  Of course, [from my point of view] the best directors, instead of just pandering to that demographic, will find ways to subtly question it, poke fun at it, or openly deride it, without arousing the suspicions of  the Defense Department et al.

3] Assuming that this movie is by the same director as the previous two in the series [Christopher Nolan], a very astute director [I particularly enjoyed "Memento", which, to my mind was anti-state], it is unclear, at least to myself, exactly what the true political message in the Dark Knight series really is. Mr Nolan is a particularly adept film maker and it is even possible that   in fact the Dark Knight series is actually some sort of tongue in cheek , over the top commentary on the whole ridiculous idea that Alex Jones is so sure we  are all being conditioned to accept. [Despite the fact that most of us are already conditioned that way and never even question it :-)]

Secret Service Partied Like Rock Stars: The Psychopathology of Government 'Work'

[onebornfree's commentary: most people suffer under the delusion that government is a "force for good" or similar, and are therefor in complete denial of the truth about governments, the truth about the behavior of most of it's employees, and the psychological explanation as to why it's employees in fact almost invariably act the way they do, as documented in this truly excellent Daily Bell article below concerning  Secret Service parties at Martha's Vineyard,

P.S. The Freedom Network:

The  Freedom Network is an international leaderless network for those of us who are interested in pursuing more "freedom in an unfree world", and in meeting/networking with other, like-minded individuals [for employment opportunities, information, contacts, business ideas, socializing, or whatever], and which would almost certainly include an interest in looking for ways to be free from being forced to fund the Secret Service and its "parties" on Martha's Vineyard, or elsewhere :-) ] :

Secret Service agents partied like rock stars on Obamas' Vineyard Vacation ... The president is a lot more popular on Martha's Vineyard than the men and women who guard him ... Long before President Obama's security detail was scandalized in Colombia and new revelations emerged last week about the Secret Service, members of the elite team earned an "Animal House" reputation at the blueblood vacation mecca of Martha's Vineyard. Local residents say wild parties, fights and late-night carousing involving Secret Service members have become commonplace in recent years at the Vineyard, a favorite getaway for the First Family and longtime destination for upper-crust members of the Northeastern political, media and business establishment. – FoxNews

Dominant Social Theme: They work hard so they should play hard.

Free-Market Analysis: The Secret Service is much in the news for their partying ways. But to be shocked at the behavior of the young men and women in the Secret Service is perhaps to betray a naïveté about the way government really works.

In this article, we'll try to shed some light on the relationship between government and the wild behavior often associated with even the most "respectable" civil servants.

Begin with the concept that there is no such thing as government "work" ... or not as those in the private sector understand it. There is instead a whole secret conversation in Washington DC, and those who understand and accept the conversation and its secret code most completely are those who prosper the most in the nation's capital.

Because there is no competition to provide discipline, one is often rewarded on how well one "gets along" and whether or not one can keep his mouth shut. More and more of the US government is devoted to violence as well. IRS agents are armed now, as are members of Homeland Security. There is no legality involved, merely the government's insistence, as a collective facility, on the ability to deliver lethal force.

The perspective of the work force is thus easily poisoned. Workers soon become aware that since Leviathan is almost entirely dysfunctional and devoted more and more to overt intimidation, elements that are the most destructive to civil society are apt to be the most rewarded.
Government, in fact, blossoms as civil society subsides. The more the family is fractured, the most powerful government becomes. The most dysfunctional the private sector becomes, the more government takes over.

Ultimately, like a snake swallowing its own tail, government destroys itself as well. But the merciless logical of government growth cannot be slowed by logic or tamed by rational arguments. It will grind along until finally it grinds down.

Since the larger elements of government policy are conspiring to destroy society, those who work within the grim grasp of Leviathan soon "act out" in various ways via sex, drugs and other behavior that may be seen as destructive and are surely contemptuous – as well as fulfilling of basic urges.
People are expected to believe that such events are the aberration. In fact, they are business-as-usual. The combination of untruths, unwarranted privilege and vast amounts of money make government waste and abuse an ever-escalating norm.

Washington DC is evidently and obviously the elite's "muscle." The head resides in London's City and the religious elements of the global conspiracy are run out of the Vatican and to a lesser extent Tel Aviv, where certain intelligence facilities also may be lodged.

The world's political, military and economic engines are all tuned toward world government. You will prosper in government, especially in the US government, if you understand the real agenda and are willing to accept it and support it. The most successful are often those who are most willing to abandon their principals and actively betray their countrymen and even their own colleagues and families.

Almost "all" the common DC wisdom is a lie. The idea that government officials are dedicated to doing their jobs in a decent and effective manner is contradicted by the essence of what government is – a methodology of imposing force in order to advantage an elite at the expense of everyone else.

The idea of government as a "servant of the people" – especially big government – cannot be anything other than an untruth. The bigger government gets the most pathological it becomes.

Blogger William M. Arkin recently wrote an interesting article following up on various government boondoggles that have been in the news entitled "Government Conferences: The GSA Merely Got Caught in Las Vegas." Here's an excerpt:

No one in their right mind would want to stand up and defend the GSA's $823,000 conference meeting in Las Vegas, which has become the latest paradigm of government waste. Las Vegas in particular provokes images of ID card lanyards swinging around poles as the DC-revelers crowded the strip clubs on Industrial Road.

Now ... the White House is imposing cut backs on conferences and travel expenses, directing agencies in a May 11 memo reduce expenses by at least 30 percent in fiscal 2013. Deputy Secretaries will have to review any conference where the agency spending could exceed $100,000 and no agency can spend over $500,000 on a conference – well, that is, without a waiver.

I can't imagine that anyone thinks this will change a thing, except make every Las Vegas planned event "sensitive." And of course it is just spitting in the wind when it comes to the industry and association sponsored conferences, the modern-day back rooms where deals are made and future careers for military officers are lined up. These military – and increasingly homeland security – conferences are going on almost daily.

From the GovEvents website, I picked up 91 such events scheduled for the next six months. At the bigger events, a dozen or more government and military officials can make presentations (at what cost to the taxpayer?) and loads of military personnel and government employees attend. Looking at some of the more specialized IT symposiums, it can cost up to $500 each for each participant. So if only 20 government participants attend these, not including travel and lost time, the cost is already $1 million. See how ridiculous efforts to save government – taxpayer — money are?

You see? Ninety-one events! Many of these "conferences" are military in nature and dedicated to proposing ways to fight the war on terror more effectively. Yet these same participants probably know there IS no war on terror.

It's just a lie intended to justify bigger government and more intimidation of middle classes that must be pacified if world government is to be effectively installed. It is a further element of pathology.

Thousands of powerful men (mostly) get together at enormous expense to discuss Islamic terror – the same terror and terrorists that their own intelligence agencies have been cultivating and supporting.
Osama bin Laden probably died a decade ago. Al Qaeda is apparently a creation of the CIA. Many terrorist acts are facilitated by the FBI and other agencies that then claim their activities are infiltration when in fact they are manipulative and intended to create the very results that are generated.

It is no wonder that people – especially young men – indulge their primal appetites voraciously while working for the government. As much as anything it is a way to dull one's senses while building an ephemeral camaraderie that makes the rest of one's duties at least tolerable.

Conclusion: Government seems perhaps a glamorous and well-paying place. But for many dutiful souls it can doubtless be a kind of torture chamber where they attempt to medicate their growing guilt and shame any way they can.

Apple’s iOS 6 Includes ‘Government Alerts’

[Onebornfree commentary: although the concerns of both the writer of this piece {Paul Joseph Watson}, and of Alex Jones- who is almost in tears come the end of the video below- are very  real, as always, I can already see many simple ways to  legally circumvent, or even disrupt the intent of the new laws mandating "Presidential updates" {basically, mandated interruptions} to your cellphone computer or internet radio broadcasts etc. If interested , contact me here, or at my problem solving blog, or via The Freedom Network . Regards, onebornfree
The Freedom Network
The Freedom Network is a deliberately  leaderless network I have established for individuals who are interested in personal freedom and the types of  non-political solutions that myself and others might suggest for the particular problem raised in this post, and for other, similar problems, and who are interested in networking with other like-minded individuals seeking more personal "freedom in an unfree world". ]

‘Presidential alerts’ to be mandatory for all cellphone users

Apple’s eagerly awaited iOS 6 update for iPhones and iPads will include controversial ‘government alerts’ that some fear are part of the federal government’s takeover of communications networks.

“In compliance with the National Alerting Program, the WEA will be coming to Apple devices that will run on the new mobile OS once it arrives this fall. The iOS 6-compatible devices include iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 2 and the new iPad. This means that users with older iPhone will be able to receive WEA messages once they upgrade their handset to the new mobile software,” reports AMOG [1].
The federal government is keen to implement a centralized system of control over all communications, with last year’s announcement that all new cell phones will be required to comply with the PLAN program [2] (Personal Localized Alerting Network), which will broadcast emergency alert messages directly to Americans’ cell phones.
Although users can opt out of receiving the alerts from FEMA and the Amber Alert program, messages direct from the president will be mandatory.
“Consumers will have the option….to block all PLAN alerts except for those issued by the president,” the L.A. Times reported [3] last year.
The thought of cellphone users being forcibly targeted with text messages from Barack Obama during the election season has obviously stoked concerns that the emergency alert system could be exploited for political reasons, just as former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge claimed [4] he was pressured to artificially raise the national terror alert by the Bush administration to help Bush win re-election.
The system, which went live in the New York and Washington Metro areas [5] last December, caused panic in New Jersey [6] after Verizon customers received text messages warning them that a “civil emergency” was in progress and to “take shelter,” prompting alarmed citizens to flood 911 lines with anxious calls.

Verizon Wireless later apologized to its customers for causing alarm, admitting that the confusion was caused by a “test” of the PLAN emergency alert system.
As we have documented [7], the PLAN program is part of the wider move on behalf of Homeland Security to create a public environment dominated by a pervasive sense of fear and paranoia, a context in which the safe exercise of constitutional freedoms doesn’t normally thrive.
The emergency alerts are eventually designed to be incorporated into the Intellistreets system [8] which turns all street lights into surveillance hubs that can record conversations and broadcast messages.
For the first time ever the feds will have a direct line to the millions of Americans who use cell phones and be able to use the messages to transmit whatever they like, whether that be genuine safety information, fearmongering about spurious terror alerts, or political propaganda.
Judging by the response in New Jersey, the overwhelming majority of Americans will simply react by panicking, which in a real emergency situation could only make the crisis worse.

10 Signs That the Highways of America Are Being Transformed Into a High Tech Prison Grid

[ onebornfree commentary: this article clearly lists just a few of the ways that the state is further encroaching on your personal freedom. What do you want to do about it? There are some simple ways to counteract/inhibit  these sorts of encroachments. If you would like to know more about those ways please contact me via my Problem Solving Service - obf]

Once upon a time, the open highways of America were one of our greatest symbols of liberty and freedom. Anyone could hop in a car and set off for a new adventure at any time and even our music encouraged us to "get our kicks on route 66". But today everything has changed. Now the highways of America are being steadily transformed into a high tech prison grid. All over the country, thousands upon thousands of surveillance cameras watch our highways and automated license plate readers are actually being used to track vehicle movements in some of our largest cities. Many state and local governments have come to view our highways as money machines and our control freak politicians have established a vast network of toll booths, red light cameras and speed traps to keep cash endlessly pouring in. If all of that wasn't enough, TSA "VIPR teams" are now hitting the interstates and conducting thousands of "unannounced security screenings" each year. Driving on the highways of America used to be a great joy, but now "Big Brother" is rapidly sucking all of the fun out of it. Eventually, it may get to the point where Americans simply dread having to go out on the highway. The following are 10 signs that the highways of America are being transformed into a high tech prison grid....

  #1 Surveillance Cameras

All over the United States, a vast network of surveillance cameras is carefully watching our highways. The following is an excerpt from a recent article in the Baltimore Sun about this phenomenon.... The room is large and well lit, and it buzzes with activity even though its occupants remain seated. The video screen at the front of the room is as wide as an IMAX, though not quite as tall. It consists of 64 smaller screens – 16 columns of four apiece – that monitor every inch of interstate between Great Wolf Lodge and the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. There is an emphasis on tunnels and bridges, and one corner screen is tuned in to a 24-hour weather report. If you are driving on an highway in Hampton Roads, VDOT is watching you.

  #2 Automated License Plate Readers

In a previous article, I detailed how automated license plate readers are being used to track the movements of every single vehicle that enters Washington D.C. A recent Washington Post article explained that most people do not even know that they are there.... More than 250 cameras in the District and its suburbs scan license plates in real time, helping police pinpoint stolen cars and fleeing killers. But the program quietly has expanded beyond what anyone had imagined even a few years ago. With virtually no public debate, police agencies have begun storing the information from the cameras, building databases that document the travels of millions of vehicles. Nowhere is that more prevalent than in the District, which has more than one plate-reader per square mile, the highest concentration in the nation. Police in the Washington suburbs have dozens of them as well, and local agencies plan to add many more in coming months, creating a comprehensive dragnet that will include all the approaches into the District. A lot of police cruisers are being outfitted with this technology around the nation as well. So if you see a police car pull up behind you, there is a very good chance that a computer has already read your license plate and is giving the officer all of your information.

#3 Ridiculous Regulations

Some of the new "auto safety laws" going in around the nation are absolutely absurd. For example, do you buckle up your pet when you go for a ride? Well, in New Jersey you can now be fined up to $1000 for not having your pet properly restrained while you are out driving. #4 Outrageous Fines In many areas of the country, unpaid traffic tickets can rapidly become a major financial burden. For example, the new tolls on the 520 floating bridge in Seattle are absolutely killing some commuters..... Registered vehicle owners who do not pay their toll within 80 days or more will be mailed a $40 civil penalty for each unpaid toll transaction in addition to a $5 reprocessing fee. WSDOT confirmed some tolls plus penalty fees have added up to more than $1,000.

  #5 Oppressive Toll Road Fees

Toll roads have become one of the favorite revenue raising tools" for our politicians. At this point the tolls on some roads have become so incredibly oppressive that many people simply cannot afford to drive on them anymore. And for some reason the toll increases are coming especially fast and furious this year. A recent USA Today article summarized some of the oppressive toll increases that we are seeing all over the nation.... •California and Washington authorized high-occcupancy toll (HOT) lanes, where tolls rise or fall depending on traffic flow. Texas enacted laws authorizing private toll roads and allowing regional authorities to collect tolls. Indiana removed a provision requiring legislative approval for toll roads. •Some Maryland tolls will double this year as the state seeks money to rehabilitate aging roads, bridges and tunnels. The use of tolls on interstate highways also is spreading: •Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican, just won approval from the Federal Highway Administration to add tolls on Interstate 95 in his state. The state estimates that tolls on the heavily traveled corridor could generate $250 million over the first five years for expanding, improving and maintaining the highway. •New York and New Jersey recently announced that E-ZPass commuters will pay $1.50 more and cash customers $2 more to cross bridges and tunnels between the two states. •Georgia just created toll lanes on Interstate 85 in suburban Atlanta. The toll hikes are more than chump change: Cash tolls on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge jumped to $4 from $2.50, and to $12 from $8 on all the New York-New Jersey Hudson River crossings. Toll roads are one of my pet peeves. Any time I see a toll booth it immediately puts me in a bad mood.

 #6 Red Light Cameras

Red light cameras are another favorite "revenue raising tool" for the control freaks that run things. Unfortunately, these cameras don't always work right so a lot of innocent people end up getting ticketed. But politicians love them because they can raise a lot of cash. The following is from a recent Business Insider article.... According to U.S. PIRG (Public Interest Research Group), nearly 700 U.S. cities and towns installed the cameras, which accounted for more than 90 percent of tickets issued for illegal right turns, or rolling stops. In one New Jersey town, PIRG found 2,500 tickets were issued at one intersection within the first two months of installing a camera.

 #7 Speed Traps

In the old days, speed traps were mostly about making the roads safer. Today, they are mostly about raising money. One police chief up in Michigan has even admitted that the nature of his job has fundamentally changed.... "When I first started in this job 30 years ago, police work was never about revenue enhancement, but if you’re a chief now, you have to look at whether your department produces revenues." Speed traps are becoming more common almost everywhere, but some areas of the country are worse than others. A recent report from the National Motorists Association ranked how likely you are to get a speeding ticket in each of the 50 U.S. states.... After crunching the numbers, the NMA found that Nevada is the state most likely to issue you a traffic ticket, followed by Georgia and Alabama. In 2010 Florida took the top spot and Georgia and Nevada tied for second place. The state where you’re least likely to get ticketed is Wyoming, followed closely by Montana. These two ranked at the bottom in 2010 as well.

 #8 Government Spying

It has been revealed that the federal government has been secretly putting GPS tracking devices on thousands of vehicles in order to track the movements of people that they are interested in watching. Most of the time the people involved have not even been charged with any crimes. The following is a short excerpt from a recent Wired magazine article about this phenomenon.... The 25-year-old resident of San Jose, California, says he found the first one about three weeks ago on his Volvo SUV while visiting his mother in Modesto, about 80 miles northeast of San Jose. After contacting Wired and allowing a photographer to snap pictures of the device, it was swapped out and replaced with a second tracking device. A witness also reported seeing a strange man looking beneath the vehicle of the young man’s girlfriend while her car was parked at work, suggesting that a tracking device may have been retrieved from her car. Then things got really weird when police showed up during a Wired interview with the man. The young man, who asked to be identified only as Greg, is one among an increasing number of U.S. citizens who are finding themselves tracked with the high-tech devices. The Justice Department has said that law enforcement agents employ GPS as a crime-fighting tool with “great frequency,” and GPS retailers have told Wired that they’ve sold thousands of the devices to the feds.

#9 Extraction Devices

If you get pulled over by police, you never know what to expect these days. Previously, I have written about how law enforcement authorities in some parts of the U.S. are using "extraction devices" to download data out of the cell phones of motorists that they pull over. The following is how a recent article on CNET News described the capabilities of these "extraction devices".... The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.

#10 VIPR Teams

If all of the above was not bad enough, now we have to deal with TSA "VIPR teams" terrorizing us on the highways. If you regularly travel across the country, there is a good chance that you have already encountered one of their "unannounced security screenings". The following is from a local news report down in Tennessee about how local authorities are working with VIPR teams to fight "terrorism" on the interstates.... You're probably used to seeing TSA's signature blue uniforms at the airport, but now agents are hitting the interstates to fight terrorism with Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR). "Where is a terrorist more apt to be found? Not these days on an airplane more likely on the interstate," said Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security Commissioner Bill Gibbons. Tuesday Tennessee was first to deploy VIPR simultaneously at five weigh stations and two bus stations across the state. TSA VIPR teams now conduct approximately 8,000 "unannounced security screenings" at subway stations, bus terminals, seaports and highway rest stops each year. Are you starting to see what I am talking about? All of this "security" is becoming extremely oppressive. We don't need "Big Brother" constantly watching us, tracking us and fining us on our highways.
